Creativity and a Little Southern Charm...
Thoughts of a Murmuring Riverside Debutante..
"A girl in a curious, historic city. The SEA calls to her. One day at a time. And the night, oh the night. Step by step, finding treasures and hidden gems throughout the dimly lit, cracked bricks and dusty pirate doors of a salty, moss-covered port city. She's left home for a new scene, to follow a dream and a love. A river with cobblestones. Horses snort and carriages creak. Adventurous days and humid nights with a touch of class and a sip of TEA. Pinkie up and a napkin on a lap. Never to slurp. Lace gloves stained brown from picking up pennies missed in the pearly park fountain. A dollar found for a horse ride into town. Closed eyes remind her of waterfalls of the mountainside. Mountains of another home, her childhood. New sounds. A journey to town for a frosty brew with a handsome yet familiar face. Bells ring as church is dismissed among opaque, powdered figures peering through the windows of a house. Oh the houses. Abercorn, Broughton and Jones. Feeling like a queen. A beating heart and shortened breath. Chills spread. In love. The scalp tells the arm to send tingles through the soul. A pinch to question truths. A face peering out of the window asking for an answer only to question without a word. A kiss. Morning time releases the coast of it's low lying fog. A diamond ring. Bliss. Lovers together until their dying day. Sounds of the wintertime. Then a BEE. A bee humming around the heavens to tell the southern sun to gaze. Beautiful colors. Add rain, it brings flowers. Pollen in spring. Honey for TEA. Tea to sip when dirty gloves come off and stockings go down to feel the water up to the knee. Summer. Lovers tonight and memories until hair turns grey. Salt. Sand. SEA."
